Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has slammed Chelsea’s bid for midfielder Luka Modric.
The Blues had a £22m bid flat-out rejected yesterday and the West London outfit look to build a side capable of re-claiming the Premier League crown off Manchester United.
However, Redknapp has once again stated that the diminutive Croat is not for sale at any price.
“Luka is not for sale,” said Redknapp.
“If there has been a bid of £22m, that is ridiculous.
“There are people being sold for £20m who are not fit to lace Luka’s boots.”
Chelsea are expected to come back with a higher bid in the coming weeks.
