Spurs eye up Hulk

Tottenham are reportedly lining up an audacious £35m bid for FC Porto star Hulk.

Tottenham are reportedly lining up an audacious £35m bid for FC Porto star Hulk.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move away from the Portuguese following some impressive performances for the Europa League champions.

And while Chelsea and Manchester City have both been linked with a move for the 25-year-old, it is believed Spurs have emerged as a front-runner for his signature with manager Harry Redknapp keen to add some firepower to his front-line.

Their valuation, however, falls way below the players’ release clause, currently set at a massive £88m, but the North Lonon outfit are hoping £35m will be enough to convince Porto to sell the striker.

Not De Jong – Tottenham join race to sign £45million-rated Ajax starlet

David Neres

Tottenham are interested in signing Ajax youngster David Neres in the winter window, according to the Express.

The 21-year-old has been in fine form for the Dutch side and scored 14 times and provided 11 assists in the league last season.

Neres prefers to play as a right-winger but has played as an attacking midfielder too. The Brazilian is rated at close to £45million (h/t Express) and is set to leave the club, as per the report.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund have all watched the 21-year-old this season, as per the Express.

Tottenham have a history of doing well with youngsters under Mauricio Pochettino. Furthermore, we have signed a number of players from Ajax in recent years.

Davinson Sanchez, Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen have been brilliant for us since joining from the Dutch giants.

Neres could provide us with a lot of quality down the right and cover for our attackers. Moving to Spurs will help him grow and develop under one of the best managers in the world. However, it will be interesting to see if we are willing to stump up a huge amount for the talent.

Tottenham didn’t sign a single player in the summer window and it will be surprising if we don’t add to the squad in the winter window.

Bayern Munich eyeing move for £18m Tottenham attacker

Calciomercato (h/t Sun) claims Bayern Munich are interested in the services of Son Heung-min after the South Korean evaded military service.

The 26-year-old, who joined Tottenham for a fee of £18m, won gold in the Asian Games with his country recently, meaning he need not enrol for military duty.

The Tottenham star has rejoined us and even played few minutes in the 2-1 loss against Liverpool.

Son has been one of our most consistent players since joining from Bayer Leverkusen. The report claims Bayern need to replace their ageing wide men with someone younger.

Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben are in their 30s and the report adds that Munich’s head scouts have previously worked at Bayer Leverkusen and are familiar with Son’s representatives.

The report further adds that despite the interest from Bayern, Tottenham do not want to sell Son.

Son will be an important player for us this season since we haven’t started all that brightly. The South Korean missed the loss against Watford but had a decent cameo against Liverpool.

The 26-year-old should have won a penalty at the death against the Reds and there is no doubt he will be a regular for our Champions League journey as well.

Tottenham didn’t buy any players in the summer and hence, selling any of our first-teamers should be out of the question.

Even if Bayern come calling, we have to keep hold of our stars and Sonny certainly is amongst them.

Tottenham interested in signing £30m Manchester United superstar

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly could be willing to quit the club in the January window, as per the Mirror.

The 24-year-old has been benched often by Jose Mourinho this season and Tottenham are interested in the Ivorian (h/t Mirror).

Bailly had joined the Red Devils for a fee of £30m in 2014 but the report claims that Mourinho has blamed the defender for the loss to Brighton & Hove Albion.

The central defender wasn’t selected against us and was a late substitute in the wins over Burnley and Watford.

Arsenal are also interested in the player and the report adds that should the defender be frozen out by Mourinho, he will have a big decision to make. The report further claims that Pochettino is a huge fan of the defender from his time in Spain.

We did beat United at Old Trafford and it will be interesting to see if they are willing to sell a promising player to a rival.

The 24-year-old is a quality player and all he needs is a confidence boost. Pochettino has worked wonders at Tottenham and could do the same for the United defender.

Spurs didn’t make a signing in the summer but we have to add players in the January window.

It is important to note that we have three quality defenders on the team. Youngsters Juan Foyth and Cameron Carter-Vickers are also looking to get a game, meaning Bailly will face a lot of competition for a starting spot.
