Report: Signings in the pipeline

So, I have been caught in the rain after collecting my dog from her grooming session but the wet weather won’t drown my hopes of Spurs signing someone soon.

And, according to sources, soon is, well, SOON.

Adebayor: Everything sorted, we will be paying 85k per week, the rest from City and is expected to be announced by close of play tomorrow.

Diarra: Reports are beginning to surface that the deal is done. Contracts were all agreed a week ago and the only thing that was holding the deal up, the fee, has been agreed. Announcement soon (maybe at the same time as Adebayor, we shall see).

Crouch: Is wanted up north, Levy is keen to sell, Redknapp isn’t as keen and Crouch doesn’t to leave but one of either Crouch or Pavlyuchenko will leave by August 31st.

Modric: Staying.

Kranjcar: Staying.

Rossi: Staying with Villarreal.

Relationship of Levy and Redknapp: Deteriorating at an alarming rate…..

  1. For two transfer windows now we have been linked to a lot and received little. If we really retain Modric and land Adebayor & Diarra, this summer will not only be a massive success but a shrewd one as well. Bringing in Adebayor, Diarra, and VDV on the cheap, signing Modric and Bale to long term contracts thus bringing in big time funds if we ever decide to sell, all while improving a top 4 quality side is commendable. If Levy gets this done he is brilliant. They may not be the names that we all wanted but they fit the squad, are top class, and are fiscally responsible.

  2. how about a 4-3-3 with:

    gomes/friedel
    walker – dawson – kaboul – BAE
    sandro – modric – diarra
    VDV – adebayor – bale

that's a lineup that can compete with anyone in the EPL.
