Sead Kolasinac

Tottenham Hotspur have submitted a massive offer for Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac, who is out of contract with the Bundesliga club in the summer.

He is reportedly on the transfer list of a host of big clubs across Europe and is a hot target for the English clubs. Kolasinac is being chased by Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton and also Manchester City.

Kolasinac has been offered £90,000-a-week by Tottenham according to Transfermarketweb. It is understood that Chelsea and Tottenham are the clubs who are battling fiercely for the player’s signature. Liverpool were also earlier linked with the player and offered a contract to the left-back.

The Bosnian is known for his ability to charge up and down the field and is an intense full-back. He has 3 goals and 7 assists to his name from 30 appearances this season and has been brilliant for Schalke.

It has been reported that AC Milan are also interested in the player but that the player prefers a move to the Premier League.

Sead Kolasinac is a versatile customer who can also play higher up the pitch or in the central defensive positions. He has featured 17 times on the left-wing and has sizzled. His work rate is impressive and is equally good on the attack and on the defence. He has also been tried as a defensive midfielder and as a centre-half. Such versatility can be extremely useful for Pochettino who has struggled at times with the squad depth.

Kolasinac would surely be a great addition for Spurs and this would effectively make life difficult for Ben Davies. With Pochettino opting for a three-back formation at times this season, Kolasinac’s inclusion would be perfect for Tottenham as the player is tailor-made for the wing back position.

He would add such quality to the squad and undoubtedly be a great addition. Since he would be arriving for free, it would be a great piece of business by Spurs as they would be saving a significant amount of money. Tottenham surely need defensive reinforcements but it only looks like they need centre-halves.

  1. ex Yugoslavia’s nations’ defenders are, in my opinion, the best in Europe; kolasinac will be perfect for tottenham – one more reason for Chelsea not to let them have him – a great addition for conte’s squad.
