The era of White Hart Lane is done and it was capped off with a brilliant win over Manchester United with Harry Kane and Victor Wanyama on the scoresheet for Tottenham. Although it would have been wonderful to have had a Spurs player to be the last ever goal scorer at White Hart Lane (Wayne Rooney scored one back for United which eventually became the last ever goal to have been scored at the Lane), the fact that we won the game gives a huge satisfaction.

However, it is time we look forward to entering our new £800million stadium which is easily set to be one of the best in the country, and arguably, in Europe as well.

The new stadium will have 61,000 seats, which just slightly overtakes Arsenal’s Emirates stadium and will have the single-tier stand just 5 metres away from the goal line. It has also been said that the single-tier stand will be the largest in the country with 17,000 seats.

The numbers are eye-popping and it surely is a massive step taken in by the club in their long and illustrious history. The stadium will also have 9 floors, with a lot of unbelievable facilities and it is surely expected to set the mark for a modern football stadium. And to mark the club’s history at the Lane, a time capsule will be placed reflecting the club’s time at White Hart Lane.

While the construction of the new stadium has been going on at a massive speed, the club have always kept us updated about the progress. Tottenham have released the latest pictures of the stadium construction and with each passing day, the development looks mind-blowing!

Here are the pictures that were released by the club.
