Joel Veltman

Even though Tottenham have not signed a single player after the end of last season, the bookies have made Spurs favourites to bring in a number of talented players as the club plays a year in Wembley.

A report carried by Football London suggests that Sky Bet have made us 9/4 favourites to sign Ajax defender Joel Veltman. The 25-year-old seems to be on the radar for other London clubs as well, as Crystal Palace are also interested in the Dutch defender.

The Eagles are behind us though when it comes to signing the defender according to the bookies and are at 3/1 to get Veltman in.

The 25-year-old has played in 165 games for Ajax across 5 seasons and seems to be a great option to have given that Kevin Wimmer is destined to leave in search of regular first-team football.

Ross Barkley
Ross Barkley

We aren’t done with just the defence as the report claims midfield duo Ross Barkley and Max Meyer are set to join us too.

Sky Bet (via Football London) are suggesting that we are favourites to sign the Everton midfielder at 4/5 while the Englishman is only at 7/4 to remain on Merseyside. We have been linked with the midfielder for a while and it does seem like the deal is close to completion.

Max Meyer

The German, Meyer, remains a 9/4 favourite to join us in the summer and is evens to stay with his parent club Schalke 04. Surprisingly, Liverpool have also come into the radar to sign the 21-year-old and are 5/2 to sign the midfielder.

Joshua King

We are also linked with a move up top as Josh King seems set to join us at 11/8. The Norwegian did have a great end to the season with Bournemouth and is also chased by Everton, who are listed as 8/1.

All-in-all, we do have a couple of tasty names being linked with a move to join us and it will be interesting to see how the entire transfer window goes. What we need are players that can do a job when required as we already have a quality first-team.

Should we sign Barkley, Meyer, King and Veltman, that would constitute a great transfer window and set up a fantastic base for a brilliant season ahead.
