Tottenham Hotspur are yet to make any new signings during the January transfer window but with deadline day upon us, we could be in for a sensational late signing. Spurs are a club who are usually not very keen to do deals in the winter transfer window. And with Mauricio Pochettino also possessing the same ideology, expect very little to happen from now and until the end of the day.

Yet, we should keep an eye on some of the names during the transfer deadline day.

One signing that would be announced today is Lucas Moura. The 25-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements at Paris Saint-Germain and only played six games this season.

After understanding that he has no future at the French club, Lucas has decided to join Spurs, with Sky Sports reporting an hour back that the player has completed his medical at Tottenham’s Hotspur Way training ground. The Brazilian is set to finalise the details of his proposed £25million move from PSG.

An official statement from our club is imminent as fans all across the world wait for the news with bated breath.

Tottenham Hotspur only signed Fernando Llorente five months ago and will consider selling him to Chelsea today, according to reports.

Fernando Llorente

The Spaniard has endured a disappointing spell at North London, scoring just twice in 23 appearances. Yet, Pochettino backs the player and wants him to stay at the club until the end of the season.

However, the Independent report that Chelsea are interested in signing Llorente as they seek a backup striker for Alvaro Morata. Antonio Conte, who coached Llorente at Juventus, is keen to land him at Stamford Bridge, and Chelsea have to cough up £25million to snatch the player away from Spurs.

Here is how the Spurs fans are reacting on transfer deadline day, ahead of the big game against Manchester United tonight at Wembley.

  1. It’s the same every time we sign anyone, they leave it to the last minute to announce so we’re happy we’ve signed someone but they have no time to get anyone else. We need another quality signing then I believe we have the makings of a top 4 squad, we desperately need the quality options from the bench when we need to change things up, at the moment we have the likes of Sissoko and Llorente doesn’t really cut it, does it?
