As per a report from HITC Sport, Tottenham Hotspur might lose Joe Pritchard to Bolton Wanderers. The U23s midfielder has been on trial with the Championship outfit and if things go smoothly, he is expected to continue playing for them.

Although Pritchard has displayed exceptional skills during his exploits with Tottenham’s U23 side, he simply failed to make room for himself in the first-team. With HITC Sport claiming that his contract is set to end this term, it is important for Pritchard to join a different club.

The report has also stated that Pritchard has already played a match for Bolton’s U23 side, meaning both parties are more than willing to go forward with the deal.

Tottenham do have quite a few quality midfielders in the first-team right now and it is understandable that the youngster was seeking an exit to play more regularly.

At Bolton, he will certainly receive adequate chances to showcase his skills for the first-team. At 21 years of age, it is imperative for him to clock as many playing minutes as possible.

Most of the young players are impressing for their respective first-teams lately and to avoid being left behind, Pritchard must also do the same.

Although Bolton are one of the likeliest teams to get relegated, they could provide Pritchard with everything he needs in order to elevate his game to the next level.

It is indeed unfortunate that we are letting him leave but undeniably, the youngster will receive greater opportunities with Bolton.
