Malcom’s hopes of playing in the Premier League could be boosted massively as the Tottenham target’s agent has flown to England to talk with two clubs.
The report also suggests that if a deal cannot be struck with either Premier League side, Inter Milan could swoop in for the 21-year-old attacker.
Malcom scored 12 goals and provided 7 assists for the Ligue 1 side this season and even stated earlier in the season that he would be allowed to leave the Bordeaux side in the summer for a destination of his choice.
This might come as good news for Tottenham given that we don’t seem too keen on moving for Wilfried Zaha anymore after Crystal Palace slapped a £70million price tag on the 25-year-old winger.
We would need to add more attacking power to the side for the upcoming season and maybe a move for Malcom would not be all that bad.
He will probably not cost as much as Zaha and Mauricio Pochettino could work his magic and develop his game further at Tottenham. Of course, Malcom would not slot into the first-team right away since we have the likes of Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen already in the side.
There will be fears that Malcom could turn out to be another Georges-Kevin N’Koudou. The French winger joined us with a lot of fanfare but barely made a positive impact and was then sent out on loan to Burnley in the winter window last season.
Hopefully, this won’t be a similar story for Malcom should he join us. The youngster can be a success at our new home.
