Tottenham have lost one of their brightest youngsters in Noni Madueke as the highly-rated midfielder has left the club to join PSV Eindhoven according to football.london.
The report claims that the 16-year-old England youth player was offered a contract by the club but he refused to sign it, which led to a number of clubs being interested in the midfielder. Chelsea were interested in the 16-year-old while Manchester United had also offered a trial to Madueke.
The youngster was excited with the move to the Netherlands and told the official website of the club:
“In my opinion PSV is the club where I can best develop myself. PSV is a massive club with a great history. I cannot wait to grow step by step to the first team.”
One possible reason for the move was provided by PSV’s John de Jong, who claimed that players believe they have a better chance of making it to the first-team at a younger age in the Netherlands than in England.
Madueke did play in the UEFA Youth League for us and was also named as the player of the tournament in the 2017 Sonnenland Cup. The talented youngster was also the captain of our U16 side and even played for our U18 side when he was just 15.

It certainly would have been difficult for the youngster to break into the first-team at Tottenham given the talent we already have and hopefully, he will have a better time in the Netherlands with PSV.
