Christian Pulisic is a Tottenham target

Tottenham have made a bid of £44million for Christian Pulisic as they look to sign the player ahead of Manchester United.

Kicker (h/t The Sun) claims that Spurs have made the 19-year-old one of their priority signings of the summer as we look to add more options to our forward line.

The 19-year-old has been one of the best performers for Borussia Dortmund since making his debut for the Bundesliga side in 2016.

The American winger scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists for Dortmund in the Bundesliga last season and can play in a number of positions in the attack.

Pulisic would provide a lot of competition to the likes of Son Heung-min, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen and he does know a bit about English football, having spent a year in England playing for Brackley Town’s academy.

While Pulisic might not be a cheap signing, the youngster is class and will only get better with time. The 19-year-old certainly has all the tools to be a success in England and with us taking part in the Champions League next season, we would need some depth in our side.

Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura do provide some cover for our first choice attackers but given that Pulisic is in decent form, he could give our stars a run for their money.

The American is tricky, quick and will provide us with another dimension in our attack. Additionally, working with Mauricio Pochettino could help Pulisic get better and become one of the best in the world.

Spending £44million isn’t too much when it comes to bringing quality players in and if that is the price for the 19-year-old, Spurs would have landed one of the deals of the season.
