Rafinha

Tottenham’s hopes of landing Barcelona midfielder Rafinha have become a lot tougher as Fenerbahce are interested in signing the 25-year-old, according to CNN Turkey (h/t Sky Sports).

The Brazilian couldn’t get a lot of game time at Barcelona last season and was then sent out on loan to Inter Milan. Rafinha did help the Serie A side finish in the Champions League places as he scored twice and assisted three goals in 17 league appearances.

While Rafinha had been linked with a move to the Premier League, it would not come as a major surprise that Fenerbahce are looking to bolster their side, as they have made a number of changes to their backroom staff.

The Turkish giants might be looking to snatch Rafinha but him moving to Tottenham does make more sense as he would be playing in one of the top leagues in the world.

Moreover, Mauricio Pochettino could help the Brazilian get better as he has done with most of the players in the past. The major problem would be negotiating with Barcelona as they would want to get a good sum for the talented player.

Tottenham would be desperate to make a signing given that they have drawn blanks in the summer window and with less than three weeks to go before the transfer window closes, we will have to work extra quick if we are to bring in anyone at all.

Things don’t look all that great for us in the transfer window but if we can land one player, even if it is Rafinha, it would be great.
