The Argentine is set to miss the start of the season, which will come as a massive blow for the 20-year-old defender. We are without a number of key players as they are still on holiday due to their World Cup exploits.
Foyth, who joined Tottenham from Estudiantes at the start of last season for a reported fee of £8m, could have been in contention for the first game of the season against Newcastle.
This does put us in a bit of a pickle since Foyth would be out for a little while. The likes of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld might not join us until the first week of August, which gives us very little time to fix up the defence.
Foyth has not had a lot of playing time since making the switch from Argentina, though the youngster did play five games for us last season. All of Foyth’s appearances came in the FA Cup and he would have been looking for some Premier League action this time around.

It will be interesting to see how we line up for the first match of the season as there will be a lot of rustiness in the players. However, with Mauricio Pochettino at the helm, there is little doubt we can come out on top and start the season with a win.
