Turkish Football claim that Tottenham have been keeping close tabs on Trabzonspor midfielder Abdulkadir Omur. The report claims that Spurs have also made enquiries for the youngster.

Benfica are also interested in the 19-year-old but the Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoulu wants £14.2m for the youngster instead of £10.6m that the Portuguese side have offered.

“The board are either going reject the £10.6m offer or propose a counteroffer, £14.2m is the figure we are looking for.

“Of course, they are going to have to convince me as well.

“I have made it clear that I want to include a 20 percent future sale clause, something Benfica do not seem keen on.”

Omur has become a first-team player at the Turkish side as he scored thrice and provided 6 assists in 32 games for the club last season.

The 19-year-old is away with the U19 Turkey side for the European Championships and did play in the 3-2 defeat at the hands of England in their opening game.

Tottenham are known for their great work with young players and Omur could be another one that Mauricio Pochettino could work his magic on.

Tottenham have not signed a single player this summer so far and time is running out for us to add quality options to the side. Omur would not be making first-team appearances right from the start and he might need a few months to understand what is expected of him but he is someone to keep an eye on.
