Tottenham’s transfer movements have practically been non-existent this season as the club are yet to sign a player. The transfer window closes on 9th August and Mauricio Pochettino has come out and stated that the club might not make any signings before the season starts.
The Argentine was quoted by the Guardian as saying:
“I don’t know if we are going to sign or not. We’re working on that. I cannot tell you if we’re going to sign one, zero or two or three or four. We’re working.”
Pochettino did add that the club was doing everything it can to add quality players to the side. The manager also stated that the decision to shut the Premier League window before the other leagues across Europe is a disadvantage.
This will come as a huge blow for the fans who might have been expecting a few quality players. The Tottenham side is brilliant but a few additions would help us reach another level and win trophies.
Here are a few reactions from the Tottenham fans as they fear the club will not not bring in any one in the summer.

Didn’t we vote to make the window shorter? Surely he should’ve been prepared knowing there was a World Cup

Levy will wait until the last 48 hours. The window could shut next year and Levy would still wait until the final hours in order to save a few quid. His transfer policy is why Spurs will struggle to win a league.

Friendly reminder – just because you may want us to sign a certain player does not mean Pochettino wants to or has to want to.

Southampton are the only fully present Premier League club to have a lower net spend than us since Pochettino took over.
If the new stadium really isn’t impacting on transfers I’d like to know where the money is. https://t.co/gaVCaTBShi

It’s a farcical situation. The club’s moving to a huge new stadium, it’s in the Champions League yet hasn’t bought a single player. You can see the frustration in Pochettino at every press conference. What on earth are Levy and Lewis playing at. At this level you have to spend!
