Tottenham’s new stadium will not open at least till the end of October, according to the Telegraph.

We were expected to host Liverpool on 15th September at our new home. However, the Premier League clash has been moved to Wembley.

There are more concerns as the fixture against Manchester City towards the end of October is yet to be confirmed.

The report further adds that Spurs have not confirmed if the stadium will be ready by November and Daniel Levy was quoted by the Telegraph while asking for patience from the fans.

“We know this will be disappointing for all our season tickets holders, premium members and our fans worldwide.

“At the start of the project we asked for your support during what we knew would be a complex and challenging build and now we ask for your continued patience and forbearance.”

A release from the club (h/t Telegraph) also added that the two test events would have to be reviewed to create a timetable.

“We are reviewing the situation and planned timetable to rectify and re-test, after which we shall be in a better position to outline a revised timetable.

“The delays created by these difficulties mean that we can no longer hold the necessary test events. These will need to be rescheduled to take place ahead of any first official match at the new stadium in order to achieve the safety licence.”

The report further adds that Tottenham have had to activate a costly clause to return to playing in Wembley. Prior to this, Tottenham had already agreed to play their first home game of the season against Fulham at the stadium.
