Paris Saint-Germain have rubbished rumours of the club moving for Tottenham star Christian Eriksen, as per an email sent to AP (h/t Sky Sports).

The Danish international was linked with a £100m move to the Ligue 1 giants but PSG sent an email to AP (h/t Sky Sports) categorically denying a transfer for Eriksen.

PSG claimed that it “categorically denies the transfer rumours regarding a potential transfer of Christian Eriksen to PSG”.

The email further added that the report of the club moving for Eriksen seemed “to ignore the current reality of the transfer market”.

Sky added that Eriksen is attracting interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid and has a contract till 2020.

Eriksen has been one of our best players since moving from Ajax in 2013. The 26-year-old scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists for us last season as we finished third in the Premier League.

However, the club and the player have been at loggerheads regarding a new contract, as per the Daily Mail. The Daily Mail adds that Eriksen wants to be paid on par with Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris.

Tottenham should do all they can to keep the Dane at the club for a number of years to come. The 26-year-old can only get better with time and to lose him now, would be a big blow to our hopes of winning silverware.
