Dele Alli is the latest Tottenham star in line for a new contract at the club, according to the Evening Standard.

Spurs did not sign any fresh faces in the summer window but ensured Harry Kane remained at the club till 2024. The report adds that Tottenham also kept hold of their manager for another five years as Mauricio Pochettino penned a new deal.

The 22-year-old hasn’t been great this season but he has a goal to his name. Alli was part of the England side that reached the World Cup semi-final and he will be an important player for us in the coming months.

The Englishman was quoted by the Standard as saying that he is happy at Tottenham and is looking to improve along with the manager.

“We enjoy playing together and if it comes to a point where you aren’t improving then maybe you have to think about think about something else but for now, we are in a great place, with a great manager who doesn’t want to stand still.”

The youngster added that the management has backed the players and are repaying them with Kane’s deal as an example.

“As players, it does give you a bit of confidence that we look like we are strong enough to compete again.”

Alli might not be scoring for fun but he is one of the best in the country and we have to do everything to keep hold of him.
