Tottenham must pick themselves up after back-to-back defeats in the Premier League. Mauricio Pochettino’s side will travel to Italy next to face Inter Milan in their first Champions League clash of the season.

Spurs fans will remember the hat-trick Gareth Bale scored against the Italians in 2010 but we have a stronger side this time around.

Our Champions League performance last season was great even though we had a tough group. Spurs might make a few changes to freshen things up a bit and here is our predicted line-up for the clash.

Predicted Tottenham XI

Formation: 3-5-2

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Michel Vorm (GK)

The Dutch keeper was at fault for both goals conceded against Liverpool but he should keep his spot in case Hugo Lloris doesn’t return.

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

It was a surprise seeing Pochettino field a back-four against Liverpool but we should revert to a back-three against Inter.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

Alderweireld didn’t have his best game against the Reds and it will be another tough assignment for the Belgian at San Siro.

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

Like his Belgian teammate, Vertonghen struggled against Liverpool’s attack. However, his mettle against the Serie A side.

Ben Davies (LWB)

It was a bit perplexing to see Davies not start against Liverpool but the Welshman should return to the side for Tuesday’s clash.

Eric Dier (CM)

Dier had a horrendous match last time around and he must do better for the side since Mousa Dembele might be given a break.

Christian Eriksen (CM)

Another player who didn’t do well at Wembley on Saturday, Eriksen needs to star for us soon and hopefully, we will get to see the best of him against Inter.

Son Heung-min (CM)

Son should start for us after picking up Asian Games gold with the South Korea side.

Kieran Trippier (RWB)

The English wing-back should keep his slot in the team and will be an important outlet for goals, thanks to his incredible dead-ball delivery.

Harry Kane (ST)

Kane was another poor performer against Liverpool but our star striker has to fire in the goals for us to win the three points at the San Siro.

Lucas Moura (ST)

The Brazilian had one great chance against the Reds to score and he must look to make amends against the Italian giants.
