Tottenham right-back Kieran Trippier

Tottenham have been handed a massive blow as Kieran Trippier could be out for two weeks with a groin tear, according to the Sun.

The English defender picked up the injury in our win over Crystal Palace a couple of weeks ago and pulled out of the Three Lions team for the international break.

The report claims that Trippier will miss our London derby against Chelsea on Saturday, and will also miss the important Champions League game against Inter Milan in midweek.

Further, the Englishman is a doubt for the Arsenal clash next weekend, which is another massive game for our Premier League hopes.

The 28-year-old hasn’t been in fantastic form for us this season after his World Cup heroics but the Englishman still has a goal and three assists in the Premier League.

Losing Trippier to injury is just the latest setback for Spurs in an injury-plagued season. Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen recently came back to full-fitness while the like of Mousa Dembele and Danny Rose are still recovering with injuries.

We should see Serge Aurier start in place of Trippier, and hopefully, the Ivorian has some of the best games of his life this week.

Chelsea, Inter and Arsenal could be a season-defining stretch for us, and we will need all the help we can get to beat the trio.
