Latest Spurs news: Tottenham fans upbeat ahead of Champions League semi against Ajax

Tottenham play their biggest game of the season as they host Ajax in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.

Spurs come off a surprising defeat at the hands of West Ham United at the weekend. Michail Antonio got the only goal of the game as we succumbed to our first loss at the new stadium.

Tottenham have some concerns going into the game with Son Heung-min suspended for the first leg.

Harry Kane is out with his ankle injury and there are many others who are doubtful for the clash against the Dutch giants.

Ajax rested and ready to go

While Spurs were playing a London derby at the weekend, Ajax could take it easy as the Dutch FA postponed all top-flight matches to help the Dutch side prepare well for the Champions League clash.

Ajax come into the game well-rested, and it will be a tough fight for Spurs. However, we should be slight favourites as we play at home in the first leg.

Spurs did a number on Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund by winning the first legs against the respective sides.

We could do the same on Tuesday and travel to the Netherlands with an advantage. The Dutch giants lead the Eredivisie on goal difference over PSV Eindhoven and have scored 111 goals in the league.

Spurs are two games away from reaching a first Champions League final, and many fans were excited ahead of the tie on Tuesday.
