Latest Spurs news: Some Tottenham fans want the club to sign Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech
Hakim Ziyech has been one of the stars for Ajax this season as the Dutch side battle for the Champions League and the league title.
The Dutch giants are tied at the top of the league with PSV and are one game away from the Champions League final.
Dutch reports (h/t Calciomercato) claim that Tottenham are interested in the 26-year-old and will battle Bayern Munich and Inter Milan for his signature.
The report further claims that almost all of the Dutch team’s players are being tracked by clubs.
Spurs get a good look at Ziyech
Tottenham stand in the way of Ajax reaching the Champions League final and have seen Ziyech in action up close.
The Morocco international has scored 18 goals and has provided 15 assists in all competitions for Ajax.
The 26-year-old can play in several positions and could be a smart signing for Mauricio Pochettino.
Spurs need to overturn a 1-0 deficit against the Dutch side in the second leg of the semi-final, and hopefully, Ziyech and the rest of the team have a poor game on Wednesday.
The Moroccan certainly has proved his quality over the years at Ajax, and some Tottenham fans wanted the 26-year-old at Spurs next season.
