Latest Spurs news: Harry Redknapp believes Tottenham have their name on Champions League trophy

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes that Spurs have their name on the Champions League trophy.

Spurs face Liverpool in the final on 1 June, and the Reds are slight favourites given than they beat us twice in the Premier League this season.

However, Tottenham’s Champions League campaign has been crazy. There have been late goals in several games and we produced an epic comeback to defeat Ajax in Amsterdam 3-2 to reach the final.

Redknapp also spoke about the fantastic games we have had this season as he believes Spurs will win the Champions League (h/t Daily Mail):

“You just get the feeling that Tottenham have got their name on the trophy.

“They’ve gone through when they looked like going out in the knockout stages, last-minute goals in other games got them through.”

Redknapp expects a great game

Liverpool have a great attacking trio but Redknapp believes that a fit Harry Kane can create problems with the other players we have in the attack.

Son Heung-min has been excellent in recent weeks while Lucas Moura scored a hat-trick in the win over Ajax.

The Englishman did not believe the final would be a dull game due to the attacking nature of both teams.

Tottenham might have finished way behind Liverpool in the league table but nothing can be taken for granted in a final.

Spurs have the quality to defeat Liverpool and should we have a fit Kane back for the final, Mauricio Pochettino might be celebrating his first trophy at Spurs.
