Latest Spurs news: Tottenham’s Premier League fixtures for 2019-2020 released
Tottenham’s Premier League fixtures for 2019-2020 were released and there was one major surprise as we got a home game as the first clash.
We haven’t played an opening home game in several years and Tottenham play promoted side Aston Villa at the new stadium on 10 August.
We have two tough away trips in August with Manchester City and Arsenal calling, while Newcastle United are our other opponents in the month.
September sees us face Crystal Palace (H), Leicester City (A) and Southampton (H).
Brighton (A) starts off October before clashes against Watford (H) and Liverpool (A). November also seems favourable to Spurs with games against Everton (A), Sheffield United (H), West Ham (A) and Bournemouth (H).
Festive fixtures come knocking
December starts off with a bang as we travel to Old Trafford. The other fixtures in the month are Burnley (H), Wolves (A), Chelsea (H), Brighton (H) and Norwich (A).
Southampton (A), Liverpool (H), Watford (A) and Norwich (H) round off January 2020 before a tough February kicks in.
Manchester City (H) and Aston Villa (A) are tough while we travel to Stamford Bridge and face Wolves at home in the last two games.
March sees us play one away game against Burnley while we take on Manchester United and West Ham at home.
April features a trip to Sheffield United before we take on Everton at home. Bournemouth are our next opponents away but the big clash has to be the visit of the Gunners at the new Tottenham stadium.
The final month of the campaign sees us play Newcastle (A), Leicester (H) and Palace (A).
The fixtures are subject to change as the Champions League games have to be included and hopefully, we have something to celebrate at the end of the season.
Many fans were surprised at the fact that we got a home game to start of the season, and here are their reactions.
