Spurs transfer news: Tottenham have submitted multiple bids for Nicolo Zaniolo

Corriere dello Sport (h/t Daily Star) claims that Tottenham have probed AS Roma several times over signing Nicolo Zaniolo.

The 20-year-old Italy international is one of the brightest stars in the Serie A and was part of the U21 side that played in the Euros recently.

The AS Roma sensation scored four goals and provided a couple of assists in the Serie A, but they missed out on the Champions League spots last season.

The report adds that Tottenham face competition from Juventus, who are doing their bit to sign the 20-year-old.

Tottenham have submitted multiple bids for Zaniolo, according to the report, and could use one of their players to land the Italian.

Alderweireld could be sold for Zaniolo

The report adds that Roma are interested in Toby Alderweireld, and Daniel Levy could send the Belgian to Rome in hopes of landing the Italian.

Roma are also keen on Gonzalo Higuain, according to the report, and the Argentine has seen his spell at Chelsea come to an end.

The report adds that Juventus are open to letting Higuain leave, and it will be interesting to see if Zaniolo moves to a new club in the summer.

The 20-year-old is capable of playing in several positions and has the potential to improve further under Mauricio Pochettino.
