Tottenham could recall Jack Clarke after lack of starts at Leeds United

Jack Clarke’s return to Leeds United on a season-long loan hasn’t gone to plan.

Tottenham’s summer signing would have wanted more starts in the Championship at his former club, however, Marcelo Bielsa has handed Clarke game time only in the cup competitions.

The 18-year-old needs starts to continue his development, however, the Athletic reports (h/t Birmingham Mail) that the youngster could be recalled by Tottenham when the January window opens.

Leeds have several players on loan and Helder Costa is one star who is taking up the position that Clarke plays in.

The report claims that the Wolverhampton Wanderers winger will make the move a permanent one for £15m, and has made five substitute appearances in the league this season.

Clarke needs minutes on the pitch

It is difficult to see Clarke getting first-team starts if he comes back to Tottenham in January, but we could send him out on loan again.

Tottenham could keep the youngster and monitor his development closely, but he would end up playing for the reserves.

Clarke is one of the brightest talents in the English game and needs quality time on the pitch.
