Tottenham supporters want Ryan Sessegnon to start after featuring in Red Star game
Tottenham got back to winning ways after a couple of poor results at Merseyside. Liverpool beat us 2-1 at Anfield and we held on for a point against Everton after Son Heung-min was sent off.
The clash at Goodison will be remembered for Andre Gomes’ horror injury, but we could have won the game had Son not been sent off.
The South Korean’s red card has been rescinded, and he found the back of the net twice against Red Star Belgrade in midweek. Giovani Lo Celso started for us against the Serbians and opened the scoring in Belgrade.
Christian Eriksen rounded off the scoring and Ryan Sessegnon provided the assist for the Dane. Sessegnon had only come onto the pitch for 10 minutes and recorded his first assist in a Spurs jersey.
Tough times for Sessegnon at Tottenham
This was the second appearance for Sessegnon this season after making his debut for us against Everton. The former Fulham star has struggled with injuries since joining in the summer, and hopefully, he remains fit for the remainder of the season.
Sessegnon was played as a winger by Mauricio Pochettino in both the games, and it will be interesting to see if he stays in that position at Tottenham.
The English youngster can also play as a left-back and performed that role for Fulham in several outings. Tottenham’s next game is a home game against Sheffield United, and many Spurs fans want Sessegnon to start for us now.
