Tottenham to assess three players before Sheffield United clash

Tottenham picked up an important win over Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League.

Spurs had come into the game without a win in their last four Premier League clashes, but a professional performance saw us beat the hosts 4-0.

Son Heung-min grabbed a brace in the clash while Christian Eriksen and Giovani Lo Celso also scored.

It was great to see Lo Celso finally start a game for Tottenham after his summer move. The Argentine has suffered from a hip problem in recent months but scored the opener in this game.

Our next game is against an impressive Sheffield United. The Blades have drawn with Chelsea and beaten Arsenal in the Premier League so far and will be tough opposition.

Mauricio Pochettino spoke after the Red Star game and claimed that he needs to assess three players ahead of this game (h/t Football.london)

“Now we’ve finished the game we need to assess all the players now.

“We need to assess Dele, we need to assess Tanguy, we need to assess Giovani.”

The manager spoke about our tough schedule too as we were in action against Everton last weekend.

Lo Celso and Sessegnon do their bit

Tottenham haven’t seen much of Lo Celso or Ryan Sessegnon after they joined the club in the summer.

However, the pair contributed in our win over Red Star in midweek. Sessegnon came off the bench and assisted Eriksen for the fourth goal, and it will be interesting to see if they feature in our next clash.

This is the last game before the international break and we need to beat Sheffield to close the gap on the top four.
