Mourinho will not sell Eric Dier and Lucas Moura to Manchester United
Manchester United’s plans to sign Eric Dier and Lucas Moura will account for nothing if Jose Mourinho has his say on the matter (h/t Daily Star).
Manchester United had expected to convince Tottenham to part with at least one of the players in January. Their task seemed easy, with both Dier and Moura starting predominantly on the bench under Mauricio Pocchettino (h/t Express).
However, both players have been starting games more regularly after Mourinho’s appointment and they appear to be an integral part of his squad.
With a rebuild needed at Spurs and funds hard to come by (h/t Express), Mourinho will have to make the best of the squad he has and cannot afford to lose players of the calibre of Moura and Dier.
The likes of Victor Wanyama and Danny Rose look to be on their way out of the club. (h/t Telegraph)
