From fan to foe (and back?): Bournemouth’s Alex Scott reiterates Spurs love

Now, one player who has had a Spurs heart through thick and thin is Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott.

Alex Scott has been subject to heavy links from Tottenham Hotspur since last summer before he eventually moved to the Cherries. The 20-year-old joined Bournemouth last summer in a £25 million deal in August.

Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold revealed just a while back that the club is still watching him in a bid to pursue his signatures in years to come. Now, the former Bristol City midfielder has admitted his love for the North Londoners once again. He was quizzed about supporting Spurs by AwayDays, where he said:

“My dad is a big Spurs fan. So I think that’s just where it comes from—no other reason really, literally just my dad. And then I fell in love with Tottenham as a kid. So yeah, they’re my club!”

Speaking about playing against Tottenham, he said:

“Yeah, I scored my first Premier League goal at Tottenham. That was crazy. I was on the bench as well, I was a bit disappointed I didn’t start. I then came on, scored my first goal and then scored another as well but that got disallowed.”

“I think it was just the perfect place to score my first-ever goal.”
