Tottenham Hotspur eye Andreas Pereira as Gallagher alternative

Tottenham Hotspur FC have been looking at alternatives if they fail in their pursuit to land Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, and they landed on the doorsteps of another London neighbor, Fulham, looking to sign Brazilian maestro Andreas Pereira. (h/t Globo Esporte)

Sky Sports journalist Dan Bardell insists that the North Londoners will be put off by the massive price tag that the Cottagers would demand for the former Manchester United midfielder. The reports state that Ange Postecoglou’s side is fortifying interests in the Brazilian’s services and has entered the race to his signatures alongside the likes of Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell believes that the club would be put off by Fulham’s hefty demands for his services while giving an expected price range of £25 million to £30 million for the 28-year-old maestro.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Dan Bardell said:

“The problem Spurs have got is that even a player like that, who wouldn’t be first choice, would still cost a fair bit. I wouldn’t see Fulham being happy with anything less than £25m to £30m for him. I don’t envisage that being a deal that happens for Spurs.

“He is a player who has done well and can be happy with what he’s done at Fulham. He has had a good few years, but I just don’t see him at Tottenham next season.“

The Brazilian has been impressive in the recently concluded campaign at Craven Cottage, with 12 goal contributions in the 2023–24 campaign. While there are still a couple of years left on his current contract at Craven Cottage, there are expectations Fulham would consider moving him on this summer. He apparently had an agreement with Fulham manager Marco Silva that he could leave the club in the first two seasons.
