Tottenham have reportedly lodged an €8m bid for Caen striker M’Baye Niang claims French publication L’Equipe.
16-year-old Niang made headlines at the end of last season after scoring 3 goals in 7 games.
His form an potential have alerted Spurs and the clubs Under-19 coach, Philippe Tranchant, claims he has never seen a talent like Niangs.
“M’Baye has huge potential – we’ve never seen a player like him at the club before,” Tranchant said.
Niang, last month, said in France Football how natural goalscoring is to him.
“It’s bizarre, when I get into the box it’s like I have a black out. I don’t see anything, but I know that I am going to score,” he said.
The Caen academy is famed for producing players that have gone onto play at the highest level and has previously developed current Spurs defender William Gallas.
