It has been a long time since the London side Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Marseille’s 21-year-old attacking winger Georges-Kévin Nkoudou, but till date, nothing has been finalized and now, the reports are claiming that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has attempted to change the terms of the agreement which has led to the deal potentially collapsing.

Last month, the Guardian reported that Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a fee of around £10.9m with Marseille for the youngster and further reported that, the player will complete his transfer in the same month, but now, it seems like the tables have turned and the manager might have to find an alternative for the attacker.

The reports even claimed that N’Koudou passed his medical with the White Hart lane outfit, but until now, nothing concrete has taken place. The deal previously involved N’Koudou only, but the French outfit clearly stated that they will only sell the player if an alternative was found, and later, it was reported that Tottenham will be agreeing a deal where N’Koudou will be travelling to London, while Tottenham’s 22-year-old attacker Clinton N’Jie will be moving the other side.

But now it seems like the deal is far from done and it may collapse anytime soon, so, here we give you three alternatives that Tottenham Hotspur should consider if they fail to sign N’Koudou:

  1. Yunus Malli:

Earlier this month, The Mirror reported that Tottenham Hotspur have renewed their interest to sign Mainz attacking midfielder Yunus Malli, who scored 11 goals and bagged 4 assists to his name in the Bundesliga. The same source has stated that the Turkish international holds a release clause of £7.5m and that is something which is certainly not to worry about.

The 24-year-old will not be the youngest player on the pitch, but his abilities and techniques could really help the side in the Champions League. He is known for his creative work on the field and could play on any attacking position, which could be a blessing for the team.

  1. Sofiane Boufal:

Another star, who has been linked with a move to the White Hart Lane outfit is the Paris-born Moroccan international Sofiane Boufal. The Moroccan is currently serving the French side Lille, whom he joined back in january 2015. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder bagged 11 goals last season and further assisted 4, which is actually a better stat than N’Koudou.

What Boufal is known for is his skills and dribbling abilities, which could easily haunt many Premier League defenders. The little Moroccan is capable of running around the circles to give the defenders a run for their money, and that helps the team to create chances and last season was the perfect example of that as he created 69 chances for the team.

  1. The Academy:

There is nothing better that promoting the kids from the academy and this option is the one Tottenham could really consider before making any move. We saw how Dele Alli progressed last season and now with more games to play, the homegrown lads could help the team in many aspects.

The best example of it is Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, who was named in the squad following the injury of Anthony Martial, and right at this very moment, the 18-year-old is very near to cement his place in the team. Looking at Tottenhm’s squad, the side have Josh Onomah, who is looking like a promising youngster and is eager to serve the side. Not as a starter, but the 19-year-old could really affect the game even on coming from the bench.

  1. I think the deal is stalled because Tottenham agreed to loan N’Jie but don’t want a sell on clause in the loan deal. I’m hoping we’ll keep N’jie. Boufal would be fine and yes I have-been impressed with Onomah. It would be nice to get Nkoudou but I think that Marseilles has been stalling and trying to link their initial agreement to a second deal.
I think Nkoudou wants to come but if Marseilles is going to play games we’ll have to pass.
