Tottenham fans will be looking forward to a summer where they prepare to move to a new stadium but more importantly they will have to deal with bringing in new talent as they continue their pursuit of a Premier League title.
Spurs haven’t had the best of luck when it comes to transfers ever since Mauricio Pochettino took over. This season too, Moussa Sissoko and Vincent Janssen are yet to shine while there have been many players who have failed to light up White Hart Lane.
The need for some bite and tenacity in a Premier League side can never be understated and TuttoMercatoWeb now claims that the London club are interested in Inter Milan star Marcelo Brozovic.
Tottenham are reportedly willing to stump up close to €25 million for the Croatian international and this isn’t the first time the versatile midfielder has been linked with a move to the Lane. Even in December, Brozovic was a player high on the target list but the side could not close a deal with the Serie A side.
Brozovic will not be an easy target for any club to sign as Inter seem to be on track to return to the Champions League next season and with new owners to boot, Tottenham will have to break the bank if they really want to bring the Croatian to the Premier League.
The 24-year-old can play in attack, out on the wing or as a central midfielder and is known for his incredible energy and attacking play with the ball. Brozovic certainly was one of the brightest players for his national team in Euro 2016 and has been linked with a number of other clubs, including Liverpool.
Tottenham do need some cover in their midfield as they only have the likes of Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko to take up the spots of Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele.
Brozovic seems to be the perfect player for the Premier League and even though he isn’t the flashiest player in the game, he certainly brings a lot to the table. It will be a tough task for any side to woo him away from Italy but playing in the Premier League could be an offer Brozovic might not refuse.
