Mercurial winger Gareth Bale spoke highly of his former club commenting on their impressive performances this season. Spurs are having a wonderful season under Mauricio Pochettino which has seen them occupy second place in the English Premier League. They have been the closest contenders to Chelsea and what is more impressive is the fact that they have spent much less money than the other top teams around them. Also, they have the youngest and arguably the fittest squad in the league. The appointment of Pochettino is a major reason for this revival. The club possesses the most settled squad in the league playing the best brand of football. Delle Alli has been their best player this season scoring 15 goals and creating 6 assists which are very very impressive for a 21-year-old youngster.

Bale believes that Spurs have laid “the foundations” to win the Premier League at some stage in the foreseeable future. The Telegraph reports quoting the former Tottenham attacker:

“They have a great manager and a young, hungry spine to the team.”

The other key components of this squad are Harry Kane and Moussa Dembele. Harry Kane represents everything Tottenham are right now. He epitomises them. Elsewhere, Moussa Dembele is one of the most underrated central midfielders. He holds this Tottenham team on the pitch, The other players have also contributed equally. What’s more impressive is this team looks set for a next couple of seasons.

Gareth Bale was perfectly right about Pochettino and this young Tottenham side. They have conceded the least number of goals in the league and also have the best goal difference. The tactical nous of Pochettino and the winning mentality he has instilled in his players are something excellent

To the youngsters who aspire to follow his path, Bale insists on sticking to their basics and listening to their senior peers.

“You’ve just got to listen to what experienced people are telling you,” says Bale. “You’ve obviously got to listen to what they want you to do in training and in matches and commit to improving every aspect of your game. Now that sports science is more advanced we know that there are so many off-pitch factors that can affect how good you can become. If people are telling you to sleep a certain number of hours, eat specific foods and drink a certain volume of fluids then you have to be prepared to listen and learn.”

Gareth Bale on a personal note has been impressive whenever he has played for Real but constant injuries have not helped him but he remains a very important player nonetheless.

Tottenham fans would love to see Gareth Bale rejoining them but that sounds very far-fetched right now but it seems the dream scenario for the Tottenham fans.
