Christian Pulisic

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a move for Borussia Dortmund attacker and long-term Liverpool target Christian Pulisic, who is rated at £10.2million in the market. According to the Daily Mail, the 18-year old was watched by the club’s chief scout Steve Hitchen.

Apparently, Steve Hitchen was present in the crowd during Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League game against AS Monaco. Monaco won the game by a 3-2 margin and ensured that they carried a one-goal advantage going into the second leg of the fixture.

The American came on as a substitute and put in a lively performance though the German club lost the game eventually. He came on and played as a wing-back and impressed everyone with his display.

Pulisic made his senior team debut for Dortmund last season and went on to score 2 goals in 9 Bundesliga appearances, along with 3 appearances in the Europa League. This season though, the 18-year old has made 35 appearances and has contributed to 5 goals and provided 9 assists. He seems to be growing in stature as a player and has the confidence of Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel.

Pulisic has attracted interest from across Europe following a number of impressive displays for the Westfalenstadion club. It is not surprising to see Tottenham get linked with the player as well, as the club are clearly looking to add young and talented players to their ranks.

Spurs have lacked depth in wide areas, with summer signing Moussa Sissoko failing miserably after showing so much promise in the summer, while on national duty with France, in the EURO’16 tournament.

He moved to White Hart Lane on the deadline day of 2016 summer transfer window. He has since made 29 appearances and has not scored a single goal for the club. Despite being given chances to prove his quality, he has not utilised it and seems to be in a really bad run of form.

Now that Pulisic has been linked with Spurs, it seems encouraging as the 18-year old American is clearly one of the hottest young talents in world football right now.

Do you think Pulisic would favour a move to Tottenham?
