Tottenham managed to pull off a really important victory against a hapless Bournemouth side and kept the pressure on table-toppers Chelsea, who face Manchester United on Sunday. The gap is now down to 4 points and if Chelsea lose to Manchester United, then it could be game on in the Premier League title race. Spurs are looking brilliant with every passing week and it would be really difficult for Chelsea if they lose points as Tottenham would surely capitalise on anything that would be available to them.
They beat the Cherries by a 4-0 margin, as Son Heung-min, Mousa Dembele, Harry Kane and Vincent Janssen were all on target for Spurs. While Janssen would be happy that he got his first open play goal this season in the Premier League, the talk after the game was all about Harry Kane, who doesn’t seem to know how to stop scoring goals.
He made his return against Watford in the previous game after making a quick recovery from his injury and has now scored in his first start since injuring himself against Millwall in the FA Cup a few weeks back. Tottenham fans expressed their joy on Twitter, as Harry Kane set an insane record of scoring 20+ Premier League goals in 3 consecutive seasons. Only Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry and Ruud Van Nistelrooy had done it before.
While Ruud Van Nistelrooy did it for 3 seasons, Shearer did it for 4 consecutive seasons. Arsenal Legend Thierry Henry holds the record with 5 consecutive seasons and Tottenham’s own Harry Kane might just be able to achieve the same. In what is looking like a stellar career in the making, Kane is simply scoring goals for fun.
We managed to gather few tweets about Harry Kane and boy we have to say that the Spurs faithful are delighted about Harry’s performances.
Harry Kane is a goal scoring machine. ⚽️
