Even with the season coming to an end, there is bad news coming the way of Tottenham. While we saw the end of an era as White Hart Lane hosted its last ever game against Manchester United, which we predictably won, news has now filtered in that Danny Rose could miss the start of next season due to surgery.
That will come as a huge blow not only to the 26-year-old but Mauricio Pochettino also as expectations were high that the Englishman could face United as he was back in training. But the club took a decision to put the defender under the knife and he would be out until next season.

Rose last played on the 31st of January against Sunderland but was taken off after just 38 minutes. The 26-year-old though had become an integral part of the team and had made 24 appearances across all competitions.
His form certainly got many clubs to track him and unsurprisingly Manchester City are one of the clubs that want to sign him in the summer as reported by The Mirror in March. This development certainly throws a spanner into Pep Guardiola’s plans while Rose will have time to work on his fitness ahead of the next season.
The injury should ensure Rose stays at London and doesn’t switch to Manchester as even Jose Mourinho wants the Englishman at his side as per reports from The Sun as he looks for a replacement for Luke Shaw.
Hopefully, Rose will come back stronger and make the left-back position his once again. Tottenham will need a couple of decent left-backs as they have to perform better in the Champions League too, something that didn’t go all that great for us this season.
