Kyle Walker

Kyle Walker’s future is certainly the hottest topic for all of us as no one knows where the Englishman will play his football next season. The 26-year-old has been linked with a big-money move to Manchester City but nothing official has come out from the clubs in question.

Walker even posted a bit of a cryptic message on Instagram where he thanked the fans for their support last season. Even with all these rumours circling the Englishman, Mauricio Pochettino still took him to the end of season friendly against Kitchee SC in Hong Kong.

The fans at the stadium certainly got going as they shared signs urging the Englishman to stay at the club and continue his progress in one of the most exciting teams in Europe.

Tottenham didn’t win the league title but did finish the season on a high, becoming the highest scorers in the league and conceding the least number of goals. Walker was one of the players who really reached new heights at the club this season and losing him would be a bitter blow prior to the start of next season.

While the Englishman was supported by the fans, Tottenham did put out a strong side, with the likes of Hugo Lloris, Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane, Toby Alderweireld and Dele Alli all having a part to play in the game.

The goals in the 4-1 win were scored by Vincent Janssen, Son Heung-min, and youngster Kazaiah Sterling, thus wrapping up the season with yet another win.

The real test for the group would begin in the summer as fresh recruits would be looking to gel with the side. Spurs do need to kick it up a notch as they would be looking to win the league this time but they need quality in all positions.

Walker certainly has to be part of the team next season and the transfer window will be a nail-biting one should we lose him, especially to a rival Premier League club.
