Vincent Janssen, the boy who signed for Tottenham last summer amidst heavy expectations, unfortunately, failed to handle the pressure of being Tottenham’s No.9. Never mind, the guy is only 22-years old and he will come good in the upcoming seasons. This is my opinion, and it seems like a lot of our fans share the same opinion too after Janssen scored for Netherlands in their recent International friendly against Ivory Coast, which they won 5-0.
The fans were rather delighted to see the talented young Dutchman score in the rout and expressed their joy on Twitter.
Janssen had a rather forgettable season with Tottenham but it happens with every player, isn’t it? After all, form is temporary. Despite his struggle wearing the Tottenham jersey, he kept his head strong and started performing well in the final few months of the season. His attitude was never in question and worked really hard to set things right and it now looks like the striker is gaining some much-needed confidence.
We managed to gather few tweets and put them together as the Spurs faithful opened up on Janssen’s goal against Ivory Coast.
Another goal for @vincentjanssen this evening! https://t.co/MMjXMTy7p2
