Tottenham Superstar Drops A Worrying Hint About His Future – Fans Won’t Like This

Christian Eriksen

This is a bomb! And I did not expect it from this lad though. Ever since Pochettino took over, I have always believed that the players that we have are here whole-heartedly and that the players have a big club mentality. Maybe I was wrong all these days?

We had an unbelievable season and to those rival fans who say we haven’t won a trophy this season, it isn’t all about winning trophies. It is about the long-term and on that front, we are better than you.

The attacking trio of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, and Dele Alli worked wonders for us and we ended up scoring 86 goals in the league – the highest. Major credit should go to the above 3 players and Son Heung-min played an important part too when Harry was injured.

Just when it looked like it was all fine at Tottenham, here comes Christian Eriksen with some totally shocking comments. He was undoubtedly the best creator in the league last season and he gained some major recognition. Any outsider would say that this Tottenham team is on its way to making history and that is the fact.

However, Eriksen has admitted that he would consider if Barcelona approached him. I stop it here. Come on Chris! How can you?

There have been no official links between Barcelona and Eriksen since the Tottenham ace had an unsuccessful trial with the Spanish giants when he was a youngster but the 25-year-old insists it would be difficult for any player to turn down Ernesto Valverde’s side.

He told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet, “I’ve been there [on trial as a teenager] at one point, and it didn’t work out too well. But Barcelona is a fantastic club – I don’t think there are a lot of players who would say no to Barcelona. But there is ‘interest’ and then there is a concrete interest. Until there is some concrete interest, I don’t have an opinion about it.”

Eriksen is a fan favourite and of course, we all love him, don’t we? The club is moving in a great direction and the team is being built around him and two other players in Harry Kane and Dele Alli. This is not a great time to comment about interest from other clubs as the boys should rather have some good spirit between them to start next season on a high note.

We are so close to winning trophies and Eriksen has to stay with us to achieve it. Hopefully, Barcelona shows no concrete interest in him.
