‘As Bad As Sissoko I Heard’: Tottenham Fans React As Spurs Are Rumoured With Dortmund Ace
Tottenham are in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund’s central defender Matthias Ginter, according to the Bild.
We have been in the hunt for a new central defender as Kevin Wimmer could be on his way out of the club. The need for cover for our centre-back pairing of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld is also important and Ginter does have it in him to become one of the best defenders in the world.
The 23-year-old could be a better option than some of the other players linked with a move to Spurs, such as Alfie Mawson but there are a few Spurs fans who are skeptical of the youngster signing up for us.
Ginter is a German international and will only get better with years of playing under his belt but moving to a new country and a new league is always a tough decision for any player. And if he does not perform, there will be a number of fans criticising the decision to move for him in the first place.
