Gylfi Sigurdsson didn’t enjoy the best of times when he joined us from Hoffenheim in 2012. The Icelandic international did play 83 games for us but was sold to Swansea after a couple of years in a deal including Ben Davies.
The midfielder has worked wonders for the Welsh side and has helped them stave off relegation. His performances seem to have caught the eye of many clubs and we also are in the running to sign the mercurial player.
There was a sense of nostalgia as the Spurs official handle tweeted about Gylfi’s best goals in a Tottenham jersey and that certainly got Twitter going.

Many fans thought that the handle had just posted a secret message as we plan a move for the 27-year-old. We have been in the market for another midfielder and since Moussa Sissoko is more or less out of the club as it is, there have been other players linked with a move to join us.
Sigurdsson certainly would be a player with lesser risk, given that he knows the club and has spent a lot more time playing in England. Hopefully, we can sign him up and his second spell will be a success; at least that is what some of the fans posted on Twitter regarding the tweet by Spurs.

Is he coming back? I’d rather him than Berkley.

Are you trying to be a naughty Tottenham Hotspur and get him to come back? I like that. I like that a lot.

Should never of sold him.

Please bring him back. The magic in the midfield could be unreal with him and Eriksen.
