‘Really hope this rumour is true!’ – Tottenham Fans React As Highly Rated 21-year Old Is Linked With The Club

Leicester Mercury has recently credited the likes of Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund with an interest in Leicester City’s 21-year-old winger Demarai Gray. The Foxes, however, are reluctant to let him go.

Sky Sports reports that the young Englishman wants to leave the club as he has grown frustrated with the lack of first team opportunities. The 21-year-old did make 41 appearances for the Foxes’ senior team in all competition last season, but started the game only on 14 occasions.

Gray is contracted with the King Power outfit until 2020 and the Foxes, quite rightly, expect him to stay till then. The aforementioned source has further added that Gray, along with his representatives, has held talks with the Foxes regarding a move away from the club.

Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare, earlier this summer, expressed his desire of keeping hold of the young wide-man. As quoted by Sky Sports, he said:

“I understand the frustration of young players expecting and wanting more time. But on the other hand they have to be respectful of their team-mates and who is in front of them.

“He’s a young lad and I understand the frustrations but hopefully this season we will see him playing more.”
