Davinson Sanchez

Tottenham have officially completed the signing of Ajax’s 21-year-old centre-back Davinson Sanchez for a reported club record £42million fee.

Tottenham agreed terms with Ajax a few days back, but the young Colombian underwent his medical on Wednesday and signed a long-term contract until 2023. In an official statement, Tottenham quoted,

“We are delighted to announce that Davinson Sánchez has completed his move to the club, subject to receipt of his work permit later this week.

“The 21-year-old has completed his medical and remaining paperwork today (Wednesday) and will wear the number six shirt.”

With that being done, Sanchez has surpassed Moussa Sissoko’s £30million transfer that Tottenham completed last summer, and has become the club’s record signing.

This is how the fans are reacting to it on Twitter!

Not Only Sanchez

Besides Sanchez, Tottenham wasted no time in acquiring their second summer acquisition after agreeing terms with Southampton over the transfer of 25-year-old goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga. The goalkeeper, who started his career with Valencia, has signed a contract that will keep him with us until 2022.

Soon after the transfer, the Argentine stopper said,

“I feel amazing and am so happy to start training with the boys. This is an amazing club and the facilities are unbelievable.”

Tottenham, on their part, have stated that Gazzaniga will wear the number 22 jersey. With that being done, here is how the fans are reacting to the Argentine’s transfer.
