On the pitch, it is Harry Kane who is gathering all the attention by scoring goals at will and leading the charge for Tottenham Hotspur. After a brief August lull (isn’t it now natural for Kane to have a sober August), the striker is back to his best and is looking lethal to be honest.
Off the field though, all attention is on the transformation of White Hart Lane, which is making the headlines all across London. Tottenham have released more pics of their stunning new £800m stadium as the club remains on course to open their new stadium in time for the start of the 2018/19 season.
The North London club decided to make Wembley Stadium their temporary home for the season. There is a section of fans who are worried about the infamous ‘Wembley curse’ as they believe that loss of points in home games could affect Spurs in the title run.
Almost unnoticed in the background, across North London, builders are putting in long hours to ensure that the new White Hart Lane stadium lives up to its potential of being one of the best stadiums in entire Europe.
The new 61,559 capacity stadium is already promising to be one of the best sporting venues and the club is leaving no stone unturned as they want to go beyond being the biggest club in London.
The stadium already has more than 50 percent of the structure complete and the latest pictures published in The Mirror show the great work that is taking place around the stadium right now.
Fans can enjoy heated seats together with the USB ports while there are a micro-brewery and an in-house bakery to cater.
However, the icing on the cake should be the retractable pitch. Without a doubt, it is the star attraction of the new stadium which will stage two NFL games during the 2018/19 season.
The design, which has already been trialed at the club’s training ground, will see the artificial NFL pitch sitting at the bottom of the stadium bowl. Overall, it is a picture of joy and pride for the fans to see the new White Hart Lane gallop to completion.
