Wilfried Zaha

Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace is a name that has been linked with the club in the past. After the youngster produced a moment of magic to help his side win a point by earning a draw against West Ham United, the player is back in news.

The Eagles were trailing 2-0 at half-time and it was thought that they were rolling towards another defeat. But, Palace found life in the second-half of the match between the two under-pressure clubs of the Premier League.

How important Zaha’s goal would prove in the final analysis is a thought for the future but for now, Crystal Palace can sit back and enjoy the upsurge in his form. This marks the second time that the youngster has scored an important goal since his return from injury.

Zaha has also scored an impressive goal to help Palace upset Chelsea. The Ivory Coast international signed a new contract with Palace in the summer but as the side battles relegation, there are question marks over his future.

To be frank, he is the only shining beacon in what is otherwise a struggling side and there are thoughts that Zaha could have much more influence if he plays for teams at the top end of the table.

That brings Tottenham into focus, as the Lilywhites have mulled in the past, over a deal for the young winger. The fans were quick to look at this latest wonder goal from Zaha and want Spurs to sign him quickly.

There is very little chance that Palace would sell him in January – unless there is a brain freeze – and the only realistic chance would be the summer of 2018 if Palace gets relegated.

And, the fans voiced their support of approval for the signing. Here are some of the best reactions on Twitter.

  1. He would have been a great signing if he was still playing for England, but could miss a lot of games hen playing in the African cup of nations.
