“I think they’re involved in the top four battle” Generous Pochettino claims Arsenal are still in with a chance

The Premier League is more or less done and dusted, thanks to Manchester City’s incredible form. The Pep Guardiola led side should pick up the title unless something rather incredible happens but there is a lot of interest in the next three positions in the table.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham occupy the 2nd, 3rd and 4th places respectively and there is a real battle with Chelsea to finalise which clubs will be playing Champions League football next season. The Blues are only a couple of points behind us and with them losing against United last weekend, there is going to be a lot of positional changes among the four sides before the season ends.

Our bitter rivals Arsenal, however, are struggling to even break into the top four and with 10 games remaining in the season they are still 10 points behind us and seem set to miss out on Champions League football, once again.

Pochettino was speaking to Football.London, and believes that the Gunners still have a chance of making it into the top four. He said,

“Of course. They’re in a position in the table that has the possibility to be involved. I think they’re involved in the top four battle.”

No Real Chance Of Arsenal Making It Into The Top Four

While Pochettino might be trying to cover his base and not get caught out later on in the season, Arsenal look dead and buried to be honest and it would take a massive miracle to see the Gunners play Champions League football next season.

Arsenal look rather beaten and broken after another season under Arsene Wenger and their League Cup final capitulation is just another example as to why they might not even finish in the top six this season.

Wenger has just not been able to get the best out of his side while we are flying this season. Should we defeat Juventus in the second leg of the Champions League, it would be another feather in the cap of our manager, who has done an incredible job.

We have surged ahead of Arsenal under the Argentine and hopefully, we will pick up a title or two under the former Espanyol manager soon.
