Former Tottenham Hotspur captain and current club ambassador Ledley King has given the fans a sneak peek at the concourse areas of the club’s new north London home.

King, who came through the Spurs ranks and spent 13 years in the first team before injury forced him to retire in 2012, took fans to a tour of the new stadium which is still under construction.

Tottenham Hotspur has a long and rich legacy, and the 1600 people working on the site of the old White Hart Lane ground are giving everything to ensure the stadium is ready before the start of the season.

And with the new home edging ever closer to completion, King showed how the legacy of White Hart Lane will live on at their brand new home in the video posted by the club.

“The Lane was home to me and so many others for most of my life – so what I am doing is effectively walking on memories,” King was quoted by the Evening Standard.

“It’s amazing to think how taking aggregate from the foundations of that special place can create something so beautiful and fitting that we see today – just looking at it makes me a bit emotional.

“This is another example of how this incredible new stadium will really feel like home for all of us and shows that, as much as we are now about to enter into what is such an exciting new era for this Club and the area, our past will always be with us and the legacy of the Lane lives on.”

Tottenham has been very good about sharing updates through their social media accounts and I am sure the latest one would make all the fans a touch emotional. Here we bring you the best of tweets.
