According to Tottenhamhotspur.com, Spurs’ under-23 players and Spurs Ladies teams visited the pediatric ward of Northwick Park Hospital, Wembley, to put smiles on the faces of the people. They delivered chocolate eggs to the patients ahead of the Easter weekend.

The club’s official website says George Marsh, Jaden Brown, Shannon Moloney and Ronnell Humes met patients and their families to hand out Easter eggs donated by the club. All the Spurs players spent quality time chatting with everyone and answering their questions.

This is the latest example of how Spurs have been actively and dedicatedly working in the local community of the London Borough of Brent during their season at Wembley.

Tottenhamhotspur.com revealed that more than 400 local people turned out just last week, for Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s Jobs Fair held at the National Stadium.

“It means a lot to us to be able to come to hospitals like this and meet the children on the ward. We hope that spending time talking to them helps to take their mind off things and helps to support them during their recovery,” Spurs ladies player, Shanon told the club’s official website.

Under-23s midfielder George added:

“Although the children we visited today are going through really tough times, they were delighted to see us and see the gifts we had brought them. We send them our best wishes and hope that they get better soon as it’s never nice to be stuck in hospital during the holidays.”

Gemma Warren, Play Worker at Northwick Park Hospital, said:

“We are delighted to welcome players from Tottenham Hotspur to ‘Jack’s Place’ Children’s Ward today.

“Being in hospital is always a difficult time for patients and their families, especially around the holiday period. Visits like these are so special for the children and help to keep a smile on their faces.”

This is the beauty of our club as under-23 players and the ladies team took time out of their busy schedule and paid a visit to put smiles on the faces of patients.

There is nothing better than making them smile and in that process, the kids also get a chance to meet their superstars. Visits like these are indeed special for the patients, who are unfortunate to be stuck in hospitals during festive days.
